LGBTQ+ -affirming Care

Being part of the LGBTQ+ community shapes how you experience relationships, identity, and belonging in both subtle and explicit ways. You may find yourself navigating questions about who you are, how you connect with others, or where you feel seen and understood.

Many client come in specifcally looking to work with a gay therapist. I offer queer-affirming therapy for adults in Los Angeles and across California, making room where your identity is not something to explain or defend, but something we can invite with curiosity, care, and respect.

What this might look like

  • Feeling disconnected from your identity or unsure where you fit

  • Navigating dating, relationships, or intimacy within LGBTQ+ spaces

  • Exploring gender identity, expression and/or sexual orientation

  • Working through internalized shame and those conflicting messages

  • Balancing authenticity with safety in different environments

How therapy helps

In our work, we pay attention to how your experiences shape the way you see yourself and relate to others.

This may include:

  • Understanding how identity influences relationships and attachment

  • Exploring desire, boundaries, and connection

  • Working through internalized narratives or self-doubt

  • Building a more grounded and integrated sense of self

Rather than trying to arrive at a fixed answer, therapy becomes a space to stay with the questions and develop a deeper sense of clarity and self-trust.

A space that reflects your experience

Many people come to therapy specifically looking for a gay therapist or someone who understands their lived experience. My work provides that space while also exploring the broader questions around identity, relationships, and connection, including a practice that is sex-positive, kink-aware, and inclusive of diverse relationship structures, including ethical and consensual non-monogamy.

You don’t need to translate your experience here. We can meet it directly.
