Frequently Asked Questions
A few things you might want to know before getting started.
Getting Started
-
I offer a free consultation so we can talk about what's bringing you to therapy, what you're looking for, and how I work. It's also a chance for you to ask questions and get a sense of whether working together feels right.
-
Our first session is an opportunity to get to know each other. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, your experiences, and what you'd like to explore. There's no pressure to have everything figured out or know exactly where to begin, this is a way for us to discover what that path might look like.
-
That's more than okay. Sometimes people begin therapy with a specific concern, while others have a sense that something isn't working but aren't quite sure why. We can start there and explore what comes up together.
Fees & Insurance

Yes. If your insurance plan includes out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement.
I can provide a super bill for you to submit to your insurance company. Reimbursement varies depending on your plan, so I recommend checking your benefits directly with your provider.

I ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. I understand that unexpected things come up, so I offer one courtesy waiver for a late cancellation.
After that, cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice are subject to the full $175 session fee.
Sessions & Logistics

I typically recommend starting with weekly sessions. Meeting regularly gives us time to build a relationship and develop a deeper understanding of what you're experiencing and working towards meaningful change. We often revisit the frequency as our work progresses.

There's no set timeline. Some people come to therapy to work through a particular concern, while others are interested in longer-term exploration. We'll check in along the way about how things are going and what feels useful.provider.
